EMACS (Electromagnetic Airport Control & Survey) software modules include:

1. Basic Coverage for the calculation and analysis of radio propagation and coverage of aeronautical navigation aids including radars.
The calculations are based, amongst the other things, on the antenna and transmission characteristics and on the terrain and obstruction environment. Using the Multi-coverage add on, it is able to evaluate redundancy areas in a configuration of navaids and simulate possible faults of the sensors involved.

2. EMI for the evaluation of mutual interference among different CNS equipment in the real airport scenario taking into account the real antenna radiation and the real environment (terrain plus artificial buildings).
